Update Log
The dictionary search now also draws on the Thesaurus Linguae Aegyptiae Wikidata-linked lemma list (BBAW & Saxon Academy), reformatted and shipped as a separate file under CC BY-SA 4.0. A transliteration bridge lets one query match both the core's MdC-style spelling and TLA's Leiden Unicode. The proprietary core dictionary is unchanged.
The editor now lays glyphs out in 2D from Manuel de Codage notation: side-by-side (*), stacked (:), grouped (( )) cadrats, with word/sentence spacing, line and page breaks (! / !!), and serekh / hwt / frame enclosures (<S> <H> <F>). Choose "Individual signs" when pasting a series. See the in-app Help for the full operator list.
MdC paste series accepts mixed Gardiner codes and raw hieroglyphs. Dictionary auto-saves to the browser and supports drag-to-canvas. The Hieroglyphica Magna font adds 4,900+ glyphs. Help overlay rewritten; performance and undo reliability improved.
Added 50 new entries from Middle Kingdom texts. Updated transliterations for accuracy.
Improved mobile responsiveness and dark mode support across all features.
